ABOUT TRASH2FASHION (T2F)

Sponsored by O’ahu Arts Center (www.oahuartscenter.org)
Elsha Bohnert, Trash2Fashion Coordinator

TRASH2FASHON – The EXHIBIT
The T2F Exhibit is the display of wearable art costumes created by local artists and UH art students, using recycled materials.

TRASH2FASHION – The SHOW
The T2F Show is the “fashion show” part of the T2F exhibit. The costumes are modeled on stage by the artists who created them or their models.

Only one T2F Show takes place once each day of the Fair – a total of 3 shows. Tentative stage times are 10:00 – 10:30 AM on Thursday-Friday; Noon – 12:30 PM on Saturday.

Artists can model their own costumes or find other models. It is the artist’s responsibility to find his/her model(s) and make sure they show up.

TRASH2FASHION – The PARADE
Each T2F Show is followed by a festive Parade of artists and models in their costumes. The Parade winds its way through the Arena and back to the stage. Members of the T2F Royal Court: King, Queen, Princess, Prince, Jester & Wizard lead the Parade.

THEME: Carnival!
T2F artists are encouraged to create costumes on the theme, but are not limited to it.
